Technology Interactive Walkabout

The whole school participated in the technology challenge. It was a great afternoon where we shared our challenge with Room 13, then we visited Rooms 18 & 14 to hear about their inventions.

After school some of our parents came to check out what we'd been up to.

Technology Challenge

This week the children have a technology challenge.

The problem: The teddies need to cross the flooded river to get to the Teddy Bear's Picnic

The Brief: How can the teddies cross the river? Work together to come up with a solution.

Co-operating: Children in Rooms 29 & 31 worked together in groups of three and came up with the idea to build a bridge and make a vehicle to carry the teddies over with.

They designed their own vehicles and worked together to design and construct the bridge.

When they tested them they needed to make modifications. Ask the children what that means. They can tell you.

The Cross Country Race

What a day the children had at the Cross Country Race. Congratulations to the super runners, they were all champions.

Disco Fun

There was funky dancing, dazzling neon party clothes, loud music, singing and lots of laughter at the Year 1 & 2 disco.

P.E. with Howick College Students

Today at P.E. Year 13 students from Howick College taught games and skills to Room 29 children. Over the next few weeks the Howick College students, as part of their course work, will be back to teaching P.E. Our children and the students from across the road had a very happy time together.
