Foundation Skills

When we go on the Taranaki and Rainbow bars we work on building our arm, hand and finger muscles that we need to use to do handwriting and writing. Spinning and hanging upside down stimulates our vestibular systems that help with our balance.

I push my arms straight to hold my body up.

Thumbs underneath, fingers on top help with my pencil grip.

Hanging makes my upper body muscles strong.

Monkey swing helps my left and right brain work together.

Spinning helps my vestibular system for balance.

More spinning

I can climb up the rainbow bars and hang down by myself.
